- Historically Black Colleges and Universities: Psychosocial Needs Assessment and Counseling Center Personnel Surveys -- This report contains the results of a pilot study that explores the range of psychosocial needs of students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and the resources available to and training needs of the counseling center personnel who serve them.
- Older Adults Race/Ethnicity and Mental Health Disparities: A Consumer Focused Research Agenda -- This paper is designed to form the foundation for a research agenda focused on the development of practical programs that address mental health issues from the consumer perspective.
- How Engaged are Consumers in Their Health and Health Care, and Why Does It Matter? (Robert Wood Johnson Foundation) -- This brief finds that consumers with lower patient activation levels lack basic knowledge, confidence and support on how to manage their health. People with chronic conditions also had lower levels of activation, and only 48 percent reported that their health care provider helped them set goals to improve their diet.
- States Ranked by Size of Gaps in Key Child Health Measures (Robert Wood Johnson Foundation) -- The report, America's Health Starts With Healthy Children: How Do States Compare?, highlights the important role that income and education play in the health of America's children. The release of the state-by-state report coincides with the launch of a new online tool. The Education and Health Calculator is an interactive tool that lets users examine the current level of education in their own county or state and observe what might happen to death rates if a larger proportion of the population attended college.
